SP Japanese Cultural Club

Hi guys, if you’ve read our previous post, you would have known that we have a yukata wearing booth set up for Open House 2012. Basically we let visitors try on our yukatas, help them tie up the yukatas, then help them take photos.

We need helpers for manning the booth and assisting in helping visitors wear yukatas. Information is as follows:

Shifts are:

Wed: 2pm-4pm, 4pm-6pm                                                                                                       Thurs, Fri, Sat: 12pm-2pm, 2pm-4pm, 4pm-6pm

- Interested applicants who do not have prior knowledge in yukata wearing are still allowed to join, however those who do not know how to wear a yukata are required to attend a lesson next Monday, 2pm in the JCC clubroom

- Females are in demand as we do not have enough female helpers in our sub-comm. There has to be at least 1 guy and 1 girl at the booth at all times

- CCA points and LOA forms are given

- In case we have too many applications, or too many people on a specific shift, we will inform you of any updates

Hey there, folks!

It’s that time of the year ago. Here comes one of the biggest event in Singapore Polytechnic (SP). It is the OPEN HOUSE! Yeah!~~ (Sounds inconvincing but it’ll be tons of fun!)

The details of our booth at the open house are as shown below:

Date    : 4th to 7th January 2012 (Wed to Sat)

Time   : 2pm – 6pm for Wed, 11am – 6pm for Thur, Fri and Sat

Venue : Outside SP auditorium or the plaza near skateboarding court

We’ll be showcasing “Yukata” and let you try it on! Sounds interesting? Well, wait no more!

Also, invite your friends with common interests as well so we will share more news with each other! Our SPJCC family welcomes you to join us. We welcome you with all our hearts! Let’s form a big family together!

Greetings, fellow members. It is that time of the year again. The time to select individuals who will take over as the main committee for the next academic year.

Yayyyyyyy.

Here are the basic criteria for those who wish to enter the sub-comm:

- Wish to contribute to the club

- Able to commit time and resources to club

- Team player

- Able to lead and coordinate with others during events

Arrangement of Timeslots:

Interviews will be held on the 9th and 11th of November (Wednesday & Friday), from 3PM to 7PM.

Each interview session will be approximately 15 mins long. Please state the approximate hour you hope to be appointed to. (3 to 4, 4-5 etc etc etc…)

As we expect high demand for the earlier timeslots, those asking for slots from 3PM to 5PM will be served on a first come first served basis.

Those who request for off-peak timeslots (5PM onwards) will be given first priority for those times.

Please free yourselves for at least two hours (preferably the whole day) as the interviews may go for longer than expected.

Those who are interested but unable to make it on either days may still email us and see if something can be done.

Deadline for appointment applications will be on the 7th of November, Monday.
